The move of the Resource Centre to its new home is progressing well - the latest installment of the move story can be read below.

Last week we received the news that we had been waiting for – our new home was ready for occupation!

After a day of packing on 24 July 23, with volunteers Fiona Poulton, David Ingleby, Brenda Overton and Ann Lillywhite doing the honours, our second van-load set off from Monks Way at 1000 am on 25 July 23.  This was mainly furniture, book cases and remaining boxes of assorted documents.

The photo of the empty corridor at Monks Way tells its own story.

The second photograph shows the first items arriving into our new main room.

Our Chairman, Anne Cole dropped in during unloading to view the premises and say Hello to the Hub management team, to whom we are deeply indebted.

HUB manager, Nigel, Site manager Andy, and IT specialist George have pulled the stops out to clear our designated rooms, build the new partition wall, mount the computerised presentation screen ready, and do all the thousand and one jobs needed for a client changeover.

The final photograph shows the furniture delivered today, piled in the centre of the room.  With a final, similar load tomorrow - one gets a feeling why it will take a while to set up our new Society Resource Centre.
