About us
The Great Grimsby Family History Group meets on the second Tuesday of each month apart from August when we have a break. In December we have a social and quiz.
We meet at the Grimsby Town Hall, but due to the covid repercussions, we don’t know which room is going to be available to us in the future. Doors open at 6:45pm, meetings commence at 7:30pm except AGM which starts at 7pm.
There is a car park attached to the Town hall with free parking we are also on major bus routes.
Admission to the meetings are free to members, donations are welcome for non members.
Our meetings are a mix of family history topics, local history or of social history relevance. We also run workshops at regular intervals though the year.
Due to present meetings limitations we have Zoom meetings fortnightly with varied topics and a chance to chat.
These meetings are open to all – details can be given by emailing the branch, we can also include you in our Google group which keeps you in touch with our meetings.
We also have a facebook page and a group which has lots of resources local to Grimsby.
