Resources Available - All visitors

The following resources are available at the Resource Centre to all visitors:

  1. Information Area. Guides to Lincolnshire Parishes, Research Tips for Beginners, and Exchange Journals from other Family History Societies.
  2. The IT Suite. LFHS Publications of Lincolnshire Baptisms, Marriages, Burial Records, Monumental Inscriptions, and other documents are available for rapid electronic search.
  3. Online Research. Access to major Family History research websites is available. PLEASE NOTE, the computers in the IT Suite must not be used to access Social Media websites, and similar.
  4. Microfiche Library. Visitors may view film records of original Parish Registers within Lincolnshire. Stewards will offer assistance and advice in all areas when requested, but cannot be expected to carry out family research on your behalf.
 

Resources available - Members only

The following resources are available at the Resource Centre for members only. There are a number of other resources available online in the Members Only Area. In addition to the resources available to non-members, LFHS Society Members may also access the following facilities:

  1. Extensive Reference Library. The Centre’s Library includes a good selection of books relating to the county, its towns and Parishes. A variety of books cover Family Research, History and other subjects. The list of library books is available at this link.
  2. Book Loan Service. Non-reference library books are available for members to sign out for a period of 4 weeks. This period may be extended by email. 3. Donated Family Histories. Members may study and copy individual Family Histories that have been donated to the Society. Note: In the IT Suite and Library, visitors may take notes in pencil and are permitted to use a camera.
