with speaker Jenne Pape.
We usually think of archaeology as digging holes in the ground, reading historic landscapes or perhaps unravelling the history of an old building, but even when we can't do any of these things, we can still have archaeological adventures. This talk will explore the resources freely available on the internet, or in local libraries and archives, and how we can use them to explore a place archaeologically without getting cold, wet or grubby.'
Jenne is a buildings archaeologist, specialising in vernacular buildings in Lincolnshire, and wrote her MA by Research on mud and stud buildings in the county. She is Lincolnshire County Council's Mud and Stud Buildings Project Officer, and has spent the last 18 months exploring the historic county, recording mud and stud houses, barns and other buildings. She is also a member of the Vernacular Architecture Group, and the Society for Lincolnshire History and Archaeology and when she isn't climbing around in old buildings, she is a keen musician, walker and member of her church's leadership team.
